I am not sure why I have ordered 5 times from MAC online (in the last month). It all started after I heard about MAC’s holiday collections. I have always wanted to try MAC products but have always felt overwhelmed when I went into an actual store or counter. I am really indecisive and spend a long time contemplating if I actually need the item that I am going to buy. I dont want an MA (makeup artist) telling me why I should buy the product because it isnt going to change my mind. So I said fuck it, why not. I bought two holiday sets for myself since they were 25 percent off ( you can see them in my previous post). The next day MAC emailed me and said that I could get free shipping with any order, five minutes later I was back on the website glancing at different things. This time I decided to buy some “fundamentals” I bought fix+, makeup remover wipes, a paint pot and black track fluid line. The next day I ordered two more holiday sets for my sisters for xmas presents and I also ordered 2 brush sets for myself! A week ago I ordered 3 eye shadows, found 2 more at a CCO in Lancaster PA and yesterday I ordered another eye shadow and a lipstick in angel… WHATS WRONG WITH ME! So yeah I decided to ban myself from the MAC website for at least a month… so what do i do? I go onto the sephora website and order my first NARS product in super orgasm. No but seriously.. I am done with makeup for at least a month…. or at least I hope.

I was laying in bed on my laptop browsing youtube and I decided to go onto the MAC website (bad idea). Three hours later I had a significant amount of damage to my wallet. If you have read my blog before you probably know that I am quite new to collecting makeup so most of the things I ordered are fundamentals..I decided that I wasn’t going to buy actual eyeshadows and blushes until I had brushes to use them with! Hahah.

Anyways, heres my first MAC haul. I will probably do a live haul when there arent people walking around my house.

Yes everyone…. that is correct, after a massive shopping spree online I have recieve my first MAC order. I am pretty new to makeup and before watching youtube tutorials I never knew why people would spend 15 dollars for a single eye shadow or 45 dollars for a brush! I realized that cosmetic companies like MAC really put a lot into their products which makes them worth while.

Collecting makeup is like any other hobby.. cars.. sports.. video games.. whats the difference? So why not spend a couple hundred on my new hobby . I will post pictures of my new MAC haul as soon as the 3rd box comes tomorrow… (I ordered three different orders because everytime I looked at the MAC site I found something different that I wanted to try and since its the holidays everything comes with free shipping! Couldnt pass that up! ).

I hate decisions! I rather just follow instead of suggesting things to do or places to go. Going shopping is horrible because I double think every purchase and tend to put back things that I regret later. Picking my major in college was no different, I went in undecided and after two years I was forced to make a decision. My friend was also declaring her major (History) so I was like, well why not, even though I hate history. (Eventually I changed it to sociology.) My new dilemma is between buying a computer or makeup.

I have been working quite hard and saving up my money for a big purchase. I really need a new gaming computer. My current setup is quite pathetic, I mean don’t get me wrong it is a great alienware laptop, but there are problems with it. For one it over heats like mad, in fact it over heats so much that I have to keep the laptop inverted on a table with its back off with a fan constantly blowing on it to reduce the internal temperature. My boyfriend tried to fix it to the best of his abilities, he replaced the thermal paste and reset the video card. :[ Nothing helped. Anyway, I want to buy a shuttle. A shuttle is like a normal desktop but it is very compact. It is great for when I go to LANs or visit my boyfriend in Pennsylvania. They are also very easy to build. The current gaming Shuttle I want to build will cost me around 600 dollars. Here comes the problem, even though I really want this shuttle, I could live without it… I am sure with the right care I could play on my ghetto ass laptop for a few more months. The other thing I could buy with that much money is a decent makeup collection, get some eye shadows and blushes etc. The main thing I want to buy is a lash growth enhancer.

I was watching a video on a review of a lash growth enhancer and I was quite skeptical to be honest, but as I watched the reviewer she explained how the lash growth serums works. Apparently there is an active ingredient that was derived from a glaucoma medicine. The medicine had a strange side effect – long thick curled lashes. This was ground breaking news for me.. I am half Asian and half white, what does that mean? I have short straight eye lashes. Before I heard about this product I thought the only way I was going to extend my lashes was by getting a lash implant, which costs around three thousand dollars PER EYE! AND the doctors plant real hair into the eye lash base which means that you have to trim them because they grow as long as real hair… (gross). There are three different Lash serums I am looking to buy…. Jan Marini, Revital Lash, and Lilash. They are all very expensive.. around 150 dollars per tube. The results take time and some have more drastic results than others. So this is my dilemma.. makeup and maybe eventually some beautiful lashes? Or a new gaming computer which I will improve my game play. So far the geek part of me is winning because I am leaning towards the shuttle! Oh well, we shall see. I have to buy this computer by the end of the year so time is running out.

Counting Down to the new year…

Everyone has new year resolutions, I have had the typical ones.. lose weight, try hard in school, etc. I always stick with it for the first few days then fall off the wagon. Will this year be any different? I already know what I want my resolution to be and that is to just improve every aspect of my life. I figure that if i focus on more than one thing that it will be easier to take my mind off of losing weight. I have to make an effort to workout, read more, write more and practice gaming. I know that is a weird new years resolution but I really do love to play video games and I would love to play professionally some day. I don’t know why I am writing about this right now, its probably because I am sitting in bed trying to digest too much pizza. I feel sick just thinking about what I ate tonight. It makes me want to change because at least when I feel hungry I know that its going to benefit me. The feeling after eating to much is like torture, not only physical but mental.. because I know I will probably gain a pound or two. I want this year to be different, I want to be happier and love myself. Oh well, we shall see. I think it would help if I started earlier then the new year so I am planning to start my diet tomorrow (today really).

I am not sure where I heard about the website www.beautycrunch.combut am sure glad I did! I recently got my small haul from their website. It came pretty quick and the prices are great as well. The first thing I ordered was an eye shadow trio by Stila. Originally the trio was $26.oo but on beautycrunch it sells for $9.10. It comes with three colors, and light shimmery tan, medium tan and a darker brown. This a pretty big trio, I am not going to run out anytime soon! The shadows are gorgeous, I am really glad I bought it.

The next product I bought was from Two Faced Cosmetics. The New Romantic Make-up Collection is a beautiful palette just by itself. It has a white unicorn on the front cover. I am a huge fan of unicorns so I knew I had to have it. The front reminds me of the Unicorn from “The Last Unicorn” which a really old anime cartoon from my childhood. The palette comes with three eyeshadows and three lip glosses. The palette also includes a two sided brush (one side is a lip brush, the other side is an eye shadow brush). The eye shadows that are included are Cinnamon Cocoa, Mossy Brown and Peachy Fairy Wine. The glosses are Princess Pink, Apricot sunset and Cupid Pink. I have been really into collecting palettes. I feel as though I am getting a better deal then spending 14 dollars on a single eye shadow. Originally this palette sells for $27.50 but on BeautyCrunch it is only $11.00! :]

I also got two Stila Lipshines in Angel Shine and Petal shine. Originally I bought one of these at Nordstrom’s for $17.00 EACH, on this site they are only $5.95. So I would definitely recommend this website for anyone who likes Stila and Too faced products for less then half the price! http://www.beautycrunch.com/

Eye Shadow Colors :

I had never purchased an Urban Decay product before and with colors like YDK and Oil Slick I thought I would get a lot of use out of this palette. This Shadowbox comes with a sliding bamboo lid, which makes it a little bit harder to transport sad to say. It also contains a sample of Urban Decay’s Primer Potion which I had never used before and a small eye shadow brush. Over all I am happy with this palette. Four Stars ****

Pros- I love most of the colors and the packaging is very pretty. I like that it comes with a sample size of UDPP and a small brush.

Cons- The glitter in some of the eye shadows have massive particles which tend to become fall out. I had glitter everywhere after applying the shadow Midnight cowboy rides again. The color was so beautiful in the store (Sephora) and I thought that the glitter would stick better than it does. Maybe by applying these shadows foiled I would have less glitter fallout. I also recommend that if you are going to use one of the highly glittery shadows that you put your eye makeup on first and that way you can brush away the glitter that has fallen on your cheeks with your kabuki brush.

Another thing I noticed was that the sample that I got of UDPP was very watery..when I see people using it in tutorials it looks very creamy and this was not the case when I tested my sample. Maybe I just got a bad sample? I am not sure! :[
